Preping Your Meals

How To Prep Your Food When You’re On The Go!

Breakfast:

·        Eggs are a great source of food, but they are hard to cook every morning if you’re in a hurry. Try making 3 scrambled eggs in the form of an omelet and stick them between 2 pieces of wax paper. Now do this 6 more times. Now when you wake up you can just pop one in the microwave for 30 seconds and be on your way.

·        Buy In bulk! Buy the little cereal boxes or bars and grab one on the way to work or carry them in your desk or car for a healthy snack. Saves time and money.

Lunch:

·        Buy a big bag of your favorite leafy salad greens and add your favorite toppings, then place in a plastic container. Do not put dressing on till you are ready to eat.

·        Put fresh raw veggies in a plastic container. Fill with some water to keep them fresh.

Dinner:

·        Save your cooked pasta! Add it to a pan with black beans (or your bean of choice) and left over veggies, then season to taste. Also good for lunch and after activities.

·        Prepare 4 – 6 chicken breasts (butterflied) in the beginning of the week. Then cut into strips and place in a container to use in single serving pasta dishes, salads or a quick snack. Best if marinated first with lite Italian dressing.

These are just a few things you can do to make sure you’re getting the proper nutrients into your body on a daily basis. The most important meal of the day is Breakfast, so always make sure you’re eating 30min to 90min after waking up. This will help your body to jumpstart itself and prepare to get ready for the day. Eating breakfast also helps to control weight. Put that together with a great workout plan, and you’ll have yourself a fat burning machine in no time.
